Abstract

The research attempts to study the impact of investment policy on the volume of foreign direct investment incoming to Iraq for a period of 17 years, so it asks us to address the different definitions of investment policy, foreign direct investment, indicators, and tools used to influence the attraction of foreign direct investment, then deal with the descriptive analysis of the impact of some of the most important These variables in the development of the volume of foreign direct investment, followed by the applied aspect that relied on the standard model as it included the investment policy represented in (export growth rate), (the volume of foreign currency reserves), and (the ratio of external debt to GDP), And (% growth rate), and the study was based on the hypothesis that, despite the importance of investment policy in Iraq, it is not stimulating to attract foreign direct investment at the desired level
